"Help seniors stay where they belong—at home."
Why I Started Age in Place Home Care Services
The reason I entered senior care wasn't business-related. It was personal.
In 2013, my father became seriously ill following complications related to CIDP. Like many families, we suddenly found ourselves navigating doctor appointments, transportation challenges, mobility issues, and the daily responsibilities that come with caring for someone you love.
That experience changed the course of my life.
As my family worked through those challenges together, I gained firsthand insight into what families experience when an aging parent wants to remain independent but needs additional support.
I saw the emotional stress.
I saw the logistical challenges.
Most importantly, I saw how meaningful it was for my father to remain in his own home.
That experience continues to shape every decision we make at Age in Place. When a family calls us, we understand what they're going through because we've lived it ourselves.
Our Philosophy: Do the Right Thing Every Time
When I first entered the home care industry, I didn't come from a healthcare background.
I wasn't a lifelong entrepreneur.
What I did know was that people deserve honesty, accountability, and follow-through.
Over the years, that philosophy has become the foundation of our agency culture.
At Age in Place, we believe quality care begins with doing the right thing—even when it's difficult, inconvenient, or requires extra effort.
Families trust us during some of the most important moments of their lives.
That responsibility is something we take seriously every single day.

Founder of Wilmington Transport
In 2016, Chris founded Wilmington Transport after personally experiencing the difficulties families face when transporting a loved one who uses a wheelchair.
The company was later sold, but its creation reflected the same commitment that drives Age in Place today: identifying real problems and creating meaningful solutions for local families.

Mobility Assistance & Fall Prevention
Maintaining independence often begins with reducing fall risks and supporting safe movement throughout the home.
Companion Care & Personal Care Assistance
From meaningful companionship to hands-on assistance with daily activities, our caregivers provide support that helps seniors remain comfortable and engaged.
Family Communication & Care Coordination
Families deserve clear communication and confidence that their loved one is receiving dependable care.
We work closely with families to keep everyone informed and involved.
Our Clinical Standard
Great care requires both compassion and accountability.
While my personal experience shapes our mission, clinical oversight helps ensure quality and consistency.
Every client care plan is reviewed under the supervision of Mile Watson-Jones, RN, and our care team works collaboratively to support client safety, ongoing quality monitoring, and individualized care planning.
This team-based approach helps ensure families receive both personal attention and professional oversight throughout their care journey.
Personal Involvement, Every Single Day
Senior care success is fleeting if you lack sincerity and action.
That's why I remain involved in all facets of our daily operations.
When you have a question, concern, or urgent need, you're not contacting a corporate call center. You're reaching a local team that understands Wilmington families and genuinely cares about helping your loved one succeed at home.
If you're in a difficult situation, you deserve a partner who will do exactly what they say they will do.
That is my commitment to every family we serve.
